One of the questions that I’m frequently asked by my patients who are seeking treatment for their trigeminal neuralgia is “Will my insurance company cover this procedure?” In my experience, both Medicare and almost all private insurers will pay for the various treatments for trigeminal neuralgia including microvascular decompression, percutaneous rhizotomy and gamma knife radiosurgery.
