Transcript:  Are all MRI scanners the same?

All MRI scanners are not the same.  We try to perform all of our trigeminal neuralgia patients in our closed scanners and the reason we do that is because they provide higher resolution as opposed to open MRI scanners and standing MRI scanners.  These scanners do not provide the same resolution as the closed scanners and are therefore not adequate for properly evaluating the trigeminal nerves.
