MS and TN
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is caused by the destruction of the myelin sheath and if the trigeminal nerve is involved then trigeminal neuralgia (TN) symptoms occur. Bilateral (both sides of the face) pain can occur with TN but it happens most often in those with MS/TN and usually begins at a younger age.
