So let’s define what is NUCCA? NUCCA stands for National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association. It’s basically an organization of upper cervical doctors. It’s not a specific technique.
What it encompasses is upper cervical chiropractic. There are several techniques in upper cervical chiropractic. You can have Blair which is a technique, Grostic, Atlas Orthogonal, Orthospinology, HIO which stands for Hole In One. All of them deal with the atlas and the adjustment and proper alignment of atlas. They also require specific x-rays so they can’t always use x-rays you may have from another doctor or from a chiropractor. They’re extremely specific.
