Transcript:  How to find an upper cervical chiropractor in your area and questions to ask

So how do you find an upper cervical doctor your area?  There are several websites that you can look on:  atlas orthogonal, Orthospinology, and NUCCA.  There will be a list of those websites available after this clip.

Some of the questions you want to ask when you call those offices is “What type of upper cervical chiropractic does the doctor perform?”  If they say full spine, full spine is not a technique and it is not atlas specific.  Some doctors will also tell you that they adjust the atlas.  You want someone who is very specific and takes atlas type of x-rays.  Those are extremely specific x-rays and are not the ones that are normally performed in standard chiropractic clinics or with your medical doctor.

If you have any questions about whether or not your doctor is truly an upper cervical doctor, call the organization from the website that you got your information from and see if that doctor is still affiliated with that organization and what additional training the doctor has had in that specific technique.
