Upper Cervical Chiropractic and how it deals with neuropathic pain or trigeminal neuralgia is the affect the atlas which is the first bone in the spinal column. It’s like the keystone of the spine. Your head sits right on top of it and when that bone is out of alignment not only does it cause pressure and tension throughout the system and muscle imbalance, it can cause inflammation in that area.
When it does cause inflammation in that area, it can also affect the trigeminal nerve and all of the nervous system throughout the entire body including your cranial nerves. When it puts pressure on those spots or causes inflammation in those spots, you can have pain.
When we take our specific x-rays and adjust you appropriately, it relieves some of that pressure, it realigns that atlas, and it releases the muscles and it also releases inflammation in there and allows those nerves to relax.
