Communication

Open lines of communication between patients and health care providers, patients and caregivers, and caregivers and health care providers is vital.  Before an appointment with a health care provider, write down a list of all of your questions and a list of all current medications and dosages being taken including supplements and herbal remedies.  If needed, the patient should bring a caregiver with them to the appointment to take notes and ask for clarification.
