Hypnosis

Hypnosis, a mind-body intervention, can be useful for pain management and other health problems.  In a hypnosis session, a hypnotherapist  assists the patient to achieve a trance-like state where he or she is fully relaxed, is deeply concentrating on one subject and is more open to suggestions.

According to MayoClinic.com, “Hypnosis conducted under the care of a trained therapist is considered a safe complementary and alternative medicine treatment. Adverse reactions, such as headache, dizziness and nausea, can happen but are uncommon.”
