Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine used for thousands of years as a remedy for many different conditions, including pain relief. It is classified as energy therapy and refers to several procedures that stimulate (manually or electrically) specific points on the body, but generally used to designate the procedure where thin metal needles are inserted through the skin. When performed by an experienced qualified practitioner there is little risk of complications, but potential ones do include perforation, broken needles, infection, and bleeding.
